These rules apply to every GGTime tournament. The organizer may add rules for a single tournament on its Rules tab.
1One Steam account, one person
Link one Steam account and play only on it. One person plays each registered account. Sharing an account or sending a substitute is not allowed.
2Keep public match data on
Keep Expose Public Match Data switched on from registration until your prize is paid. Hiding it blocks your entry because GGTime cannot check your rank.
3Play in your band
You may enter your own rank band or a higher one, never a lower one. Playing in a band below your real skill is cheating.
4Use the lobby you are given
Use only the lobby and settings the organizer gives you. Do not start a match somewhere else and ask for it to count.
5Accept or report the result
When a result is shown, accept it or report it. Staying silent means you agree. Only players of that tournament can report, and a report needs a reason.
6No side payments
Do not ask for or offer money to enter or to win. Hosts may not ask players for any payment. Entry is tickets only.
7Cheating has consequences
Cheating, smurfing, account sharing and win-trading lose the prize and can end in a permanent ban. A report that turns out to be baseless earns the reporter a strike.
